“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 5:14-16

May the Light of Christ shine bright upon you and through you this Christmas season!

This picture was taken a few days ago at the Annual General Meeting of the Tanzanian entity of Wild Hope. This group of faithful men and women represent all the various aspects of the ministries and heart of Wild Hope. Our time of reporting and reflecting this year was especially bright!

The visit to the borehole site was a highlight as everyone gathered in front of one of the two amazingly huge tanks that gravity-feed water from the mountain. How timely to reflect and report to our AGM, and exalt the Lord for all He has done thus far. We know that much wisdom is needed and much work is still ahead of us for the next phases of this water project, but we stand in faith and thanksgiving that God will get all the glory as the water flows from these tanks down the slopes of Mt. Meru.

As we see with our own eyes His light extending in this nation, we wanted to make sure you also have the opportunity to see some of what has been happening through these short videos. We mentioned these in our previous newsletter, but here are links so that you can watch and take time to rejoice with us over how God is fulfilling His Word.

Wild Hope Water Project 2024

Celebrate with us the joy of flowing water on the Wild Hope land, Arusha, Tanzania. After 21 months of Spirit-led prayers, the incredible teamwork of engineers and laborers, and the generosity of our donors, the Wild Hope Water Project has reached the exciting milestone phase shown in this video: water is now flowing through the pipeline to our land! Trusting God’s faithfulness, we will continue to the next phase of bringing precious water to our community as well.

Wild Hope Team

Rarely does someone come to the Wild Hope Retreat and Training Center without mentioning how blessed they were by the Wild Hope team who served with such love and care. We praise the Lord for the privilege and joy of serving together. May God be magnified in all that our visitors experience on the Wild Hope land. Thank you to all of our partners who fortify us in prayer and give so generously!

Enduata School 2024

Enduata Christian English-medium Primary School continues to serve the local Maasai community in the Enkeywa Valley, as part of God’s recipe for a bright future for the next generation in Maasailand. Wild Hope is so thankful for devoted teachers, enthusiastic students, generous partners, engaging visitors, and especially God’s faithfulness this year.

Samuel Senwa and the Cowboys

God has a way of making unusual connections, all for His glory. This year He brought friends from across the world together–Maasai and Cowboys–to share a love for cattle and learn new skills of how to care for them well. Some wild hopes are coming true! “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” Proverbs 27:17

Wild Hope Retreat and Training Center

The Wild Hope Retreat and Training Center provides a place for respite and renewal…a place that invites you to sit at God’s feet and drink deeply of His living waters. Each individual that comes is precious in God’s eyes and precious to us. We are constantly in awe of how He touches hearts and brings fresh hope to our visitors.

May you be aware of the Light of Christ that is shining wherever you are. Even in darkness, we know that His Light shines even brighter in the world! God bless you with beams of hope and joy as you prepare Him room to shine the way into a New year too!

Gratefully yours,

Tammy (and Peter too) for Wild Hope
