Eureka! Did we ever hit water!

“For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will pour my Spirit upon your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants.” Isaiah 44:3

Eureka! Did we ever hit water! Bigger than is normally seen in these parts. “I think the bottom of the well is in a river!” our driller said.

Rivers have been so symbolic for Tammy and me over the years, probably because our entire 32 years of ministry life in Kenya and Tanzania have been marked by a distinct lack of water and the struggle that lack produces.

I had so much fun telling the lead Tanzanian intercessor who had prophesied abundant water the news! She just giggled. Here you can see the intercessors last April hitting the rock marking where they felt God was saying to drill.

And now water is flowing out from an underground river on the exact spot! God is so so good! May this encourage you in your prayers.

Please join with us as we pray that the next phase of getting the water from the source over four miles to Wild Hope’s base also goes well. In addition, we are asking God for water that has a low enough mineral count that we can share it with our neighbors who have to go long distances to get water on bicycles and motorbikes.

Meshaek talks to ladies in a dry area below our base where we hope to bring water from the new well.
This father carries essential water home for his family on a bicycle.

The well spouting water has been such a sign to us of the spiritual living waters that Jesus has promised his children. A few weeks ago, we finished up a wonderful time with key Maasai pastors who came with their wives to our Spiritual Life Conference…seeking to plumb the depths of the Living Water together.

These are exciting times.

He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, “From his innermost being shall flow rivers of living water.” (John 7:38)

We experienced this flow of life together in a wonderful way. Some of the wives had never been to a conference with their husbands and they were so joyful.

November 28th is Giving Tuesday, a global opportunity to give. We depend on your partnership to to be able to bring the Father’s life and pour out spiritual and physical water for the thirsty.

Over the next few weeks, we will be releasing a series of small video vignettes highlighting how God is working through Wild Hope’s programs here in Tanzania. You can view them on the Giving Tuesday page on our website for more explanation and a way to easily donate.

Would you consider a special gift supporting Wild Hope as we empower African leaders to transform their communities?

God bless you,
