Wild Hope – Going FAR
“Go and make disciples of all the nations” –Mathew 28:19a
When we experience the love of the Father and realize our position as beloved sons and daughters we cannot help but become passionate about joining the Father in His mission to reach those who have not yet been reached. Sons and daughters want to do what the Father is doing and the Father is on a mission …a mission to see all tongues, tribes, and nations come home.
Sons and Daughters go further than servants ever could. They are in love!
Many people think that if the Gospel has been preached within the bounds of a nation state, the nation is reached. But Jesus instructed His followers to “make disciples” of the ethnos. In the Greek New Testament ethnos means a tribe, race, or people group. One of the original meanings was “those of the same habit”. It means groups of people who share the same cultural patterns and/or language. This may be a tribe or it may be a culturally cohesive demographic.
Solomon and Sarah are our first Maasai to commit to go to the unreached.
Our Goals together with them are:
- To train up indigenous missionaries
- To identify which people groups are receptive
- To use Deep Discipleship Groups to establish a presence of the Gospel in these groups
Steps Taken to Date:
- We have identified two areas in Southern Tanzania
- Contact has been made in each of these areas
- People in both of these areas have been engaged and relationships established
Solomon shares how the Holy Spirit helped him begin a relationship with a member of the unreached Safwa tribe.
