Thirty years ago, in 1991, we spent our first Christmas in Maasailand—with our toddler, Skyler— and began our language and cultural learning for our church planting ministry with CMF.

Here we are in 2021, rejoicing that church planting is continuing across Maasailand and even into new unreached tribes through some of our very first key disciples, as well as many other Maasai brothers and sisters in Christ.

Teammates: Solomon and Sarah Kipi

It has been such a joy to have Solomon and Sarah Kipi join Wild Hope as missionaries to the unreached in Tanzania. Wild Hope now has a base 400 miles away in Morogoro.
From this strategic point Solomon and Sarah are reaching out to three target groups along the coast and in the south.

The Next Generation

One of the joys of growing older is to see the transition of one generation to the next declaring His praises, His goodness, His faithfulness, and to still be dreaming with a WILD HOPE because of the truth and Light that we celebrate at Christmas time!

We have had many opportunities to gather with the younger generation in discipleship and worship and see their hearts catch on fire for the Lord.

Transformation through Education

Meet John Lenkitony, the new manager of the Enduata Christian Primary School that James Kukan is building out in Engewua. We are so excited to see this school taking shape and being established, and young Maasai growing in Christ as well as academically.

We are eager to help them build a new classroom and teacher’s quarters and see their capacity grow so that more children in the bush can receive a quality Christian education, and become leaders in their communities

Church Leadership

These are some of the passionate, faithful, bright and hard working men who are leading the way in discipling a new generation and working  us out of a job!

What a joy to come alongside them in this key time as they continue to  grow the CCCT churches.  Now there are approximately 45 established churches and 25 emerging ones.

Wild Hope Retreat and Training Center

Testimony after testimony show that time spent on the Wild Hope land in discipleship training of trainers courses, times of personal retreat and rest, times of prayer and counsel for weary or hurting leaders is bearing rich fruit.

With the help of a dear family we have been able to build a new dorm that will double our capacity. We now are believing God for funding to furnish it

Student Sponsorship

Wild Hope is honored to come alongside some amazing, devoted, disciplined, young emerging leaders in their educational pursuits.

It’s heartwarming to see young people we knew as infants now doing so well in university. They are the future of Tanzania and Africa and we are honored to be able to help them pursue their dreams.

Family News

Skyler and Justine finally were able to get back to the States this month after their 5 month trip morphed into a 20 month odyssey because of COVID and the birth of little precious Abigail Ruby, our first granddaughter!

They will be starting a new chapter with the Strait Foundation returning to Tanzania in January to help build a School of Ministry for Vineyard Tanzania.

Chase and Amanda have their hands full in Austin, TX with Milo, Archer, and roly-poly Rex.  Beyond their careers in software and lactation consulting, they are leading the King’s Porch Church in their home.

Paul and Sianna
finished their studies at John Brown University and now are in NW Arkansas.  Paul is working with LifeWater International and Sianna has started her maternity nursing career.

Leighton and Emily are living in Colorado.

Thank you for being a part of our team! May the humility of the Christ Child rest gently in your hearts this Christmas season, encouraging you that His Love shall prevail.

Tammy (for Peter too)
