“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”

WILD HOPE UPDATES AND PROGRESS ON THE LAND
Well it’s late at night. I’m here at the YWAM base teaching at the Maasai Discipleship Training School.
The 25 students come from all over Maasailand. I have taught some of their fathers. Most are young and have graduated recently from secondary school and are on their way to university. Some are older, some have much less education, and a couple none at all.
Solomon Kipi’s schedule freed up and he is with me. It’s good to be together. Two are definitely “better than one” and I love my Brother in Arms! We have been together so long that we can finish each other’s sentences. Solo always knows where I’m going with a teaching and can fill in gaps with key illustrations and applications in an amazing way. And his ability to bring a point home is incredible to me.
I’m filling in the teaching assignment of John Mukolwe, the director of YWAM who was killed last month in the tragic bus accident that took the lives of 11 YWAM’ers. His topic was Destiny, which at first might seem harsh but when you think about it is right on.
There is pain in the air but we are wrestling together…believing together…soaking in the Word of God together…our everlasting hope. Our spring board is Ephesian 2, especially verse 10, as shown above.
Back at the Wild Hope base, Tammy is working hard with Wendy Gray (currently volunteering with us) and the hospitality team getting everything ready for a dear friend’s wedding who has come out of Hinduism. This will be a wedding filled with worship and glory to the One true God and a lot of awesome dancing to good Punjabi fusion music! We have our new Indian clothes pressed and ready.
Speaking about the Wild Hope base, we were so glad that some dear donors gave sacrificially to get our apartment started above our water cistern. It’s looking gorgeous, as the video below shows! It will be so key as a place to house teachers and long-term interns coming to serve Tanzanians.
The new apartment is taking shape, but needs more work to finish and equip.
We still need $11,000 to finish it and another $12,000 to get appliances and furniture. If you feel led to help click on the Donate button below.
The water project is also going along well. Our trusty “fundi” Issack Lempuris who has built three tanks for us is now building a double tank at the high point of the line so the water can flow by gravity down hill from there. Thanks to all of you who have contributed!
Building new water tanks so the water can flow downhill.
We say it often, but it bears repeating…we couldn’t be doing what we are without your help.
Blessings!
Peter (and Tammy too)
